There might be no such a thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastro

Over two decades ago, forty-eight young, gifted superheroes fell to Earth and were eventually marketed as opposing heroes and villains. Now, one exceptionally gruff bad guy is looking to hop teams. Hello, PR director Vanessa Theriot.

His real name is Roland Casteel a.k.a. the Pyro. First, swap that with the less incinerating the Wyvern. Next, put him in spandex to highlight that near-godlike body. Finally, give that hero in training a heroine—if Vanessa will play the part in a pretend romance guaranteed to make the city swoon. She’s game. As shy as Vanessa is, it’s her job to be Roland’s very own Lois Lane. Who knew that fake dating would change their worlds?

But falling head over heels for real makes for a dangerous shift in the narrative. A monstrous supervillain is bringing out Roland’s bad side again. This time, it’s to save a woman who, against all the odds, is becoming the human love of his superhero life.

⤖ My Review ⬻

I’m writing this review for All Superheroes Need PR as I’m about to start reading the sequel (All Superheroes Need Photo Ops), and let me tell you, I’m excited! I went in without expectations. I also took a chance because I don’t tend to like superhero books. But what Elizabeth Stephens did really worked for me! The blend of romance, action, and the superhero aspect worked really well and I found myself flying through the chapters (pun intended) .

The world and everything described were easy for me to imagine. I really liked how the superhero elements felt vivid and cinematic without being confusing. I also enjoyed the character relationships and dialogues a lot. The banter felt natural and fun, and I appreciated how the side characters added to the overall vibe rather than just hovering in the background.

And the chemistry… The amount of times I had to fan myself… The tension and attraction between the main characters were absolutely tangible. Everything worked together to make the MCs’ connection feel believable and addictive.

All Superheroes Need PR was a joy for me to read and I can’t wait to dive back into the world now with the sequel! I’m really curious to see how the dynamics evolve, what new chaos awaits in this universe, and how Stephens will continue to build on the foundation set in this first book.
