There might be no such a thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes—all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediately yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong. Of course, there’s nothing Samantha loves more than proving an asshole wrong…

. . . unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake. But after one incredible and seemingly endless date—possibly the best in living history—Samantha is forced to admit the truth, that her family is in crisis and any kind of relationship would be impossible. Samantha begs Xavier to forget her. To remember their night together as a perfect moment, as crushing as that may be.

Only no amount of distance or time is nearly enough to forget that something between them. And the only thing better than one single perfect memory is to make a life—and even a love—worth remembering.

⤖ My Review ⬻

Every time I finish an Abby Jimenez book I think “that was so good…also, there’s no way she can hurt me emotionally more than she did with this book.” And every time so far…I’ve been wrong! Haha. Say You’ll Remember Me was no exception. From the first few chapters, I knew this one was going to hit hard, but I still wasn’t ready for the rollercoaster of emotions it delivered. Jimenez has such a talent for mixing humor, tenderness, and heartbreak all in one story.

I had planned on reading this book before the release date, but also wanted to make sure I was in just the right mood for it—so that I could really immerse myself and soak it all in. I’m happy to share my timing was just right and that I read Say You’ll Remember Me at just the right moment. I felt all the feels! This book had so much heart, and while it wasn’t always an easy read emotionally, it was definitely a beautiful one.

The characters were so memorable and fun—I can still picture them quite clearly (even the side characters)! The four romantic leads (yes I consider there to be four, even though two of them might technically be considered side characters) had wonderful chemistry, and their back-and-forth dynamic made me grin so many times.

I rooted for those two from the start and needing them to be okay (individually and together) and get their happily ever after. This helped me fly through Say You’ll Remember Me— another favourite of mine by Jimenez. I can’t wait until she makes me cry again with the next book they announced recently—The Night We Met—coming next March.
